All 24 OINP draws in 2026, with invitations and minimum scores

Two features of that record matter to anyone reading the OINP draws. First, every 2026 round went to candidates already in Canada on a valid work or study permit, and every round except the two graduate rounds required an Ontario job offer; not one invited from the overseas Express Entry pool, and the Human Capital Priorities stream issued nothing at all before it was removed. Second, the minimum scores tracked targeting rather than demand: 20 was enough for a nurse or an early childhood educator on 8 April, while a general employer round in Eastern Ontario on 23 April needed 63. The new stream's grid scores several of the same factors those rounds rewarded, wage, region, Ontario work experience, work permit status and language, but on a different scale, so none of those numbers can be read against it.

First OINP draw under the Ontario Workforce Priority stream: status on 5 October 2026

As of 5 October 2026, Ontario has held no invitation round under the Ontario Workforce Priority stream: the ontario.ca invitations page lists nothing after 30 April 2026, and the 2026 program updates page's newest entry is the 4 August 2026 portal opening.

What Ontario has published

• Redesign and portal: On 25 June 2026 Ontario removed its eight earlier OINP streams, left the Ontario Workforce Priority stream as the only open one and called the change the first of a 2-phase redesign; the stream's portal opened on 4 August 2026 (ontario.ca program updates, entries of June 26 and August 4, 2026).
• How invitations are announced: Ontario gives no advance notice before it issues invitations to apply, and its OINP pages give no date for a first round. An invitation arrives in your OINP e-Filing Portal account. Ontario lists rounds on its invitations page (updated August 11, 2026) and posted every 2026 round as a dated entry on its program updates page, which the table above follows.
• Ranking: Ontario scores each registration on 11 factors that add up to 130 points (115 for self-employed physicians) and ranks the pool either on a general basis (every registration) or on a targeted basis (only registrations with targeted attributes) (stream page, updated August 11, 2026, and application process page, updated August 10, 2026).
• Cut-offs: No cut-off exists for this grid yet. The 20 to 63 Foreign Worker minimums of the 2026 rounds came from a retired grid that added up to 76 points, so they cannot be read against a score out of 130 (ontario.ca archived Foreign Worker stream page, updated July 27, 2026).
• After an invitation: Ontario also emails you and your employer for job offer registrations, your employer has 14 calendar days to apply for approval of the employment position, and you have 17 calendar days to apply and pay the fee ($1,500 outside the Greater Toronto Area, $2,000 inside), but you cannot submit before your employer does; a missed deadline removes the registration from the pool (application process page, updated August 10, 2026).

How to be ready before a round

1. Get the job offer submitted first: Your employer submits it in the OINP Employer Portal, you receive a job offer ID by email and have 30 calendar days to register your expression of interest, or the job offer expires; self-employed physicians start with an OINP webform.
2. Register only if you meet every criterion: Registering is free, does not guarantee an invitation and lasts 12 months or until you are invited, and Ontario refuses an application that does not meet every stream criterion without refunding the fee.
3. Score your registration: The free OINP points calculator gives a score out of 130 and the factors that can still move. It gives a score and no verdict, because Ontario has published no cut-off for this grid.

What the 25 June 2026 redesign changed for OINP draws

The new stream keeps the expression of interest model that produced the OINP draws above: your employer registers the position in the Employer Portal and gives you a job offer ID, you submit a registration, Ontario scores it on a published grid (wage, region, Ontario work experience, Canadian earnings, work permit, education and language) and invites the highest scores. Ontario's application process page says it ranks the pool either on a general basis, every registration, or on a targeted basis, only registrations with targeted labour market or human capital attributes. Ontario has not said whether it will target particular occupations, sectors or regions under the new stream. We add each new round here as ontario.ca publishes it.

How to read an OINP draw notice

Each ontario.ca notice gives the date, the number of invitations, the stream, the minimum score, whether candidates had to be in Canada, and a list of NOC codes or a region. The list is the important part: an invitation goes only to registrations whose job offer NOC and location match. A candidate scoring 70 with a job in Toronto in an occupation outside the list is not invited by a health care round at 20. Check your five-digit code with the NOC code finder and confirm its TEER category before assuming a round applied to you. Invitations also set short deadlines: under the new stream the employer has 14 days to apply for approval of the position and the worker 17 days to file, so a registration you are not watching can lapse.

OINP draw history: the pattern behind the 2026 numbers

Read as a series rather than a list, the OINP draw history for 2026 falls into four types. Occupational rounds carried the volume: health care and early childhood education twice, skilled trades once, mining once, agriculture and other priority occupations once, together roughly 6,800 invitations at minimums between 20 and 56. Regional rounds came in blocks on 25 March and 23 April, pricing Toronto highest and Northern Ontario lowest. Physician rounds were small and frequent, at 33 to 43. Graduate rounds ran twice for Masters and PhD candidates before both streams closed. Nothing in that sequence is a schedule, and it describes what Ontario did with its allocation under the old streams, not what it will do under the new one.

Was there an OINP draw today?

Ontario publishes no calendar, so the honest answer on most days is no. In 2026 the invitations arrived in clusters, several rounds sharing a single date, then weeks of silence, and then, from 30 April 2026, no invitations at all, a gap that now spans the whole redesign. The official sources are the invitations page and the program updates page of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program on ontario.ca, which this page mirrors with the invitations and minimum score for every round. OINP draws against the other provinces

Ontario invites more people than any province, but every 2026 invitation went to someone already in Canada, and every round except the two graduate rounds required an Ontario job offer, which makes the OINP a poor first choice from overseas. The Alberta PNP draw record shows Express Entry Stream rounds pulled straight from the federal pool for in-demand occupations and French speakers with no job offer; British Columbia runs SIRS rounds by priority category; Manitoba invites through its own expression of interest with occupation-specific rounds. If you are outside Canada, the Ontario record says look elsewhere first. The CRS calculator and the Alberta PNP points calculator score you for the routes that do not need an Ontario employer, and a nomination from any of them still adds 600 CRS points to an Express Entry profile for a TEER 0 to 3 job.
