OINP draws 2026: every Ontario PNP draw, with scores and invitations
Ontario runs the largest provincial nominee program in Canada, with a 2026 allocation of 14,119 nominations, and it invites in bursts: two dozen draws between February and April targeting health care, trades, mining, agriculture, physicians, Francophones and each region of the province, then a pause while the program was rebuilt. This page lists every 2026 draw with the invitations issued and the minimum score, explains what the 25 June redesign did to the draw system, and is updated as the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream begins inviting.

Two features of the record matter for anyone reading it as a forecast. First, every 2026 draw required the candidate to be in Canada already, on a work or study permit, with an Ontario job offer; not one drew from the overseas Express Entry pool. Second, scores tracked targeting, not demand: a 20 sufficed for a nurse or an early childhood educator, a 63 was needed for a general employer draw in Eastern Ontario. The new stream's grid rewards the same things the draws did, wages, region, Ontario experience and a valid permit, so the pattern should carry over even though the numbers will not.
What the 25 June 2026 redesign changed for draws
The streams in the table above no longer exist
The new stream keeps the expression-of-interest model: you register, Ontario scores you on a published grid (wage, region, Ontario experience, earnings, permit, education, language) and invites the highest scores, with the Director able to target occupations, sectors and regions exactly as in the table above. Expect continued priority for health care, early childhood education, trades, mining and agriculture, regional draws that favour Northern, Eastern, Southwestern and Central Ontario over Toronto, and physician draws through the self-employed route. How to read a draw notice
Each ontario.ca notice gives the date, the number of invitations, the stream, the minimum score, whether candidates had to be in Canada, and a list of NOC codes or a region. The list is the important part: an invitation goes only to registrations whose job offer NOC and location match. A candidate with a score of 70 and a job in Toronto in an occupation outside the list is not invited in a healthcare draw at 20. Check your five-digit code with the NOC code finder before assuming a draw applied to you. Invitations set short deadlines: under the new stream the employer has 14 days and the worker 17 to apply.
Ontario against the other provinces
Ontario invites more people than any province, but every 2026 invitation required an Ontario job and in-Canada status. Alberta draws its Express Entry Stream from the federal pool for in-demand occupations and French speakers without a job offer; British Columbia runs monthly SIRS draws by priority; Manitoba invites through its EOI with occupation-specific rounds. The last draws under the old stream structure were held on 30 April 2026 (1,063 Employer Job Offer invitations in the Greater Toronto Area, minimum score 57). Ontario then paused invitations while it removed its eight worker and graduate streams on 25 June 2026 and opened the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream's expression of interest portal on 4 August 2026. How many invitations has the OINP issued in 2026?
Roughly 13,300 across 24 draws between 2 February and 30 April 2026, against a 2026 nomination allocation of 14,119, the largest of any province. About 12,000 went to Employer Job Offer candidates (healthcare, skilled trades, mining, agriculture, physicians, Francophones, the REDI pilot and regional draws) and about 2,000 to Masters and PhD graduates.
What score do you need for an OINP draw?
Under the old Employer Job Offer streams in 2026, Foreign Worker minimums ranged from 20 (healthcare and early childhood education, 8 April) to 63 (Eastern Ontario regional draw, 23 April), with most regional draws between 53 and 61. Masters Graduate draws needed 30 in March and 61 in April; PhD 56 in April. The new Ontario Workforce Priority stream uses a different grid, so those numbers do not carry over; see the stream guide for how it scores.
Does the OINP still hold draws after the redesign?
Yes. The Ontario Workforce Priority stream is an expression-of-interest system: Ontario invites the highest-scoring registrations, and the Director can target occupations, sectors and regions, as the 2026 record shows. Healthcare and early childhood education (two large draws of about 1,650 each), skilled trades (1,404), mining occupations (759), agriculture and priority occupations (1,334), physicians (four small draws), Francophone candidates, the Regional Economic Development through Immigration pilot in Lanark and Leeds and Grenville, and region-by-region Employer Job Offer draws for Northern, Eastern, Southwestern and Central Ontario and the GTA. Masters and PhD graduates were drawn twice.
How is an OINP draw different from an Express Entry draw?
Express Entry draws are federal and score on the CRS out of 1,200. OINP draws are provincial, score on Ontario's own grid, and a nomination is what you win; for TEER 0 to 3 jobs the nomination is then entered into Express Entry, where it adds 600 CRS points and produces a federal invitation in the next round.
